Frimley Lodge Miniature Railway, Surrey

Frimley Lodge Miniature Railway is located at Frimley Lodge Park and operated by the Frimley and Ascot Locomotive Club.  The Club’s volunteers bring their own locomotives to give pleasure to others with all proceeds used for the maintenance of the railway and to benefit local charities.

The rides are excellent value: £1 for a single ride (one circuit) or £1.50 for a double ride (two circuits, taking about 15 minutes).

Trains are operated subject to weather, volunteer staff and locomotive availability.

Details of railway operating dates and fares are published on the Club’s web site at

Assistance for disabled passengers
The Club does its best to be inclusive to people with physical and mental disabilities. It operates five types of carriage, including some in which you sit on a chair or bench within the coach and some on which you ride astride the wagon.

On normal running days the railway operates a variety of these coach types.

Its volunteers aim to help passengers with mobility difficulties by assisting them into a seat on the most suitable of the vehicles operating on the day.

As visitors with mobility problems are unable to use the footbridge to cross the lines, the Club volunteers will, when asked, be pleased to assist them across the track.

The railway can run special trains for pre-booked parties of able-bodied and disabled passengers. These trains can be composed of carriages to suit the special needs of passengers.  For more information or to book, use the contact form on the Club’s website. (Click HERE to view.)

Frimley Lodge Park provides toilets and a cafe. These are about 400m (45o yards) from the railway station, across the sports field. There are no toilets or refreshments at the railway itself.
